Under the direction of the Town Manager, the Chief of Police plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the Town of Atlantic Beach; assures the effective protection of lives, property and constitutional rights through the enforcement of laws and ordinances; formulates, develops, implements and evaluates departmental policies, goals and objectives; and directs and approves personnel actions within the department.

Under the direction of the Chief of Police and the Lieutenant, the Corporal is committed to community policing, special events, neighborhood watch, and the overall transformation for the betterment of all residents. Additional tasks include: overseeing, organizing, training, directing activities as assigned by law enforcement personnel and equipment as instructed by Lieutenant.
